Master’s Degrees in the UK benefit from the expertise and prestige of a world-renowned higher education system, with a huge range of courses and qualifications available across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The structure and content of British Masters Programmes form the basis of several other qualification systems used around the world.
After successfully completing a Bachelor’s Degree, students can enrol in a Master’s Programme and complete it in 1 year. A Master course is available on a wide range of academic subject areas and typically lasts one year: students complete two terms of assessed study modules, before proceeding on to a final dissertation project over the summer.
The comparatively short length of the UK masters makes it excellent value for money and allows students to enter the workplace sooner.
Depending on subjects and Universities, there are some 9 month or 2 year courses too.

In order to be considered for a Master course in the UK you need a Bachelor’s Degree equivalent to a UK Honours Degree at a minimum of second class (2.2), or relevant work experience in the chosen field.
English requirements are in general IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any component); or TOEFL iBT 60-78 or equivalent; evidence of a Bachelor’s Degree studied in English may suffice at some Universities.
