Undergraduate study in the UK usually takes three years, 4 years in Scotland; however some programmes such as Medicine, Dentistry and Architecture may be longer from time to time depending on the University. Some Universities provide sandwich courses that include one year work experience following on from year two, through which students gain relevant work experience and complete an assignment at the end. These courses are very popular for Business or Hospitality students.
Undergraduate Education usually begins every year in late September-early October and some schools have a January intake too.
